Valmuen Students’ Association's mission is to improve and maintain the social and academic environment for the students at the Department of Game Development at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. We distribute information and arrange events that benefit the game students socially and academically. The social events range from simple parties and gaming sessions, to cabin trips and Christmas parties. The academic events might be inviting external speakers, arrange excursions or game jams, or discuss animated movies or games together. Valmuen got its name from the Norwegian name of the poppy flower, which we get opium from. A pun on the old name of the Department of Game Development, which was OPIM until 2018.
