Overview

Väderstad Industries Inc was established in 1992 as Seed Hawk Inc. and began manufacturing precision seeding systems in the now 100,000-square foot facility, located just north of Langbank, Saskatchewan. In 2021, Vaderstad acquired AAJV in Wahpeton North Dakota and its manufacturing operations and equipment portfolio there. There is a rich history of the Concord, Wishek and Wil-Rich in the area. Vaderstad AB had a clear common denominator, that made them a perfect match. Both were started by a farmer who began manufacturing a tool he himself needed, which was then sought after by others in the areas. Seed Hawk Inc. officially became a part of the global Väderstad Group in 2013, later changing its name from Seed Hawk Inc. to Väderstad Industries Inc. in October 2017. Since Väderstad was founded in 1962, the challenges facing crop producers has been the driving force. The ideas that became reality in a small workshop in Sweden have spread out around the world and have made Väderstad a leading global provider of highly efficient machinery, developed to suit innovative farming methods. Väderstad has always been, and will continue to be, an expansive and innovative company that develops, manufactures and sells agricultural machinery. As a company, Väderstad is one of the world's leading actors within seeding, planting and soil tillage. For over 55 years, Väderstad has been, and will continue, developing innovative machines that do as they are intended –provide maximum benefit to our customers, farmers world-wide.
