Overview

UUMUN (Utrecht University Model United Nations) represents the University of Utrecht at the two largest and most prestigious Model United Nation conferences for university students in the world: the Harvard Model United Nations in Boston (US) and the Model United Nations in Oxford (UK). By participating in both Oxford and Harvard Model United Nations, the delegation of UUMUN - consisting out of 17 talented students from various disciplines - has set itself the following goals: Realization and involvement By taking part in UUMUN, students develop more insight in international problems and enquiries. This insight is being created by taking part in the various trainings that are given throughout the UUMUN year, and their preparation. The participation in the MUN conferences also add to this. Additionally, UUMUN fulfills a social role. By inspiring and educating other students and members of society, UUMUN hopes to create a similar realization and involvement in people outside of UUMUN. Professional and personal development Members of UUMUN have been chosen on the basis of their social, intellectual and professional capabilities. By taking part in the UUMUN training sessions, many professional and personal skills are further developed. The work done within the organisation and the social work taken on by the UUMUN members also adds to this development. Contact: Jim Lustenhouwer info@uumun.nl +31(6)21374942
