**The Office of the Vice President for Research, Economic Development, and Knowledge Enterprise at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA)** Our vision is to be recognized as a Hispanic thriving research institution with global impact. As a thriving Hispanic Serving Institution, UTSA Research, Economic Development, and Knowledge Enterprise (REDKE) fosters an innovation ecosystem that is accelerating transdisciplinary research and economic development through creative discovery by producing responsible and transformative outcomes to benefit our diverse communities. We engage faculty and students in the research enterprise, promote all aspects of research and creative endeavors, and facilitate partnerships with industry and government organizations to expand funded research. Our research community is strengthened by faculty with recognized expertise in many fields including engineering, biosciences, cybersecurity, environmental science, education, business (& more) and by first-class laboratories and research facilities. UTSA is home to 32 research centers and industry-sponsored institutes which play a major role in the advancement of biomedicine, advanced materials and manufacturing, sustainable communities and critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, career engaged education, and other areas that impact lives.
