Overview

The Utah County Academy of Sciences or UCAS is an Early College High School specializing in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). In operation since 2005, UCAS is always ranked in the top five school academically in Utah and is a member of the Early College Alliance in Utah. As a public charter high school located on the Utah Valley University campus, UCAS accepts students from throughout Utah county. The number of student applicants always is greater than the number of students accepted so a public lottery is held to select the students who will attend UCAS. UCAS serves 400 students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. UCAS graduates generally earn in excess of $2 Million in scholarship offers each year. Nearly 100% of UCAS graduates will continue their college education. UCAS graduates attend (in order) UVU, BYU, U of U, USU, Weber State, SUU, as well as many upper tier and ivy league school across the nation. UCAS has been recognized an a top US High School several times by the magazine US News and World Report.
