Overview

More Than Scholarships The USC Latino Alumni Association (OFFICIAL) is one of the nation’s leading Latino alumni organizations, devoted to the academic advancement and development of USC students that are committed to the Latino community. The association is made up of USC students, alumni and friends, working together to provide support, leadership training, service opportunities and networking. The association is a legacy of the USC Mexican American Alumni Association, which was founded in 1973. Our name was changed in 2011 to better reflect the broad reach of the association and commitment to USC students who are committed to the Latino . The USC Latino Alumni Association’s mission is two-fold: To provide scholarship assistance for the academic development and advancement of USC students who demonstrate financial need or merit and show a commitment to the Latino community. To support the overall advancement of the University of Southern California by engaging all alumni for life, building a culture of philanthropy among the Trojan Family, and being the representative voice for all of USC’s Latino alumni. LAA holds a number of annual fundraising events, providing opportunities for our alumni to reconnect with one another and to meet current scholars. Funds raised go towards scholarships, and our endowment fund is currently at $6.7 million, which is carefully managed to ensure that we will be able to provide scholarships to deserving students for generations to come. Each year, we award 200 partial-tuition scholarships of up to $5,000 each to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students at USC. Since our founding, we have awarded more than $22.4 in scholarship support to nearly 9.4 k students. *Disclosure-Content that includes videos, photographs, opinions and links to content outside of this channel do not necessarily represent USC LAA's opinions.
