Overview

This is the official page of the U.S. APEC team at the U.S. Department of State. The United States works with the private sector, civil society, and other stakeholders through the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum to advance a free, fair, and open economic policy agenda in the Asia Pacific that benefits U.S. workers, businesses, and families. Spanning both sides of the Pacific, the 21 APEC member economies account for approximately 47 percent of global trade, and the region is the destination for more than 60 percent of U.S. goods exports. Under the Theme: "Creating a Resilient and Sustainable Future for All" the United States is hosting APEC in 2023 focusing on three policy priorities: Innovative, Interconnected, and Inclusive. We are working with a diverse set of stakeholders to develop and execute an impactful policy agenda that advances issues such as trade and investment, the digital economy, and sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
