Urban Yard Properties acquires multifamily homes, apartments, and commercial properties in select emerging markets across the United States. We keep a very narrow focus on purchasing cash-flowing multifamily properties, primarily apartments, with a strong value-add component in areas that offer strong upside potential. While being aggressive about growth, the company employs creative acquisition strategies in combination with exhaustive research and a systematic approach to risk management to ensure its success. Currently, we target stabilized and value-add apartment properties of 150-500+ units in size for re-positioning by, 1) making capital improvements, and 2) reducing expenses by creating operational efficiencies through the implementation of institutionalized property management. We typically then sell the community as a stabilized asset within five to seven years.
