As Thiresh observed the urban environment of post-apartheid South Africa, he realised that many of the economic and social problems facing urban South Africa could be improved through the intelligent and innovative application of architecture and urban design principles. Driven by a deep commitment to use his skills to shape a better world, Thiresh established UrbanWorks.
