Urban Possibilities is a nonprofit community, currently based in downtown Los Angeles, dedicated to cultivating the untapped potential of homeless and working poor adults in urban areas. We utilize creative and innovative programs that help struggling individuals unlock their ability to become strong, active, and valuable members of the community. Our programs, seated in the arts, include a theater company and published writer's program, and provide the tools to empower men and women who are on the track to launching paths of self-reliance. Our focus is to provide a safe place for all individuals to explore their own unique stories and to establish value in their personal narratives, which may never have been nurtured before. Our curriculum challenges perceptions and offers a platform for people to develop new skill sets as well as psychological, emotional, and creative self-awareness.
