With a clear emphasis on purpose-driven content, Upstream Cinema was founded by 40-year veteran Hollywood film and TV director/producer Stephen Gyllenhaal and award-winning filmmaker Kathleen Man Gyllenhaal. Along with long-time producer/editor/director Ambika Leigh, they have created hundreds of hours of content, from documentaries, TV episodes and narrative feature films, to promotional and branded content, PSAs and impact media pieces for global audiences. Their collective passion is authentic engagement and promoting collective change.
