The Upstate Carolina Angel Network (UCAN) is a group of accredited investors located in Upstate South Carolina who invest in and support start-up and early-stage, high-growth businesses in the Southeastern United States. UCAN is part of VentureSouth, an early-stage investment firm that develops and manages angel investment groups and funds throughout the Southeast. Since UCAN's inception in 2008, VentureSouth has grown to include more than 200 investors across a dozen angel groups and funds, making us one of the largest angel investment organizations in the United States.
