Overview

A uOttawa club registered under the Science Students Association dedicated to educating science students on their career opportunities. We are a nonprofit organization and all of our events are always free. We host several annual events to expose science students of all disciplines to the many opportunities they have in terms of future careers. Past professional career info nights include: Medical Night, Pharmacy Night, Science X Business Night, Optometry Night, Vetrinary Medicine Night, Dentistry Night, and Honours/Graduate Studies Night. Specific professions to highlight are selected each year based on demand. Apart from our info nights, we often host other unique events such as our Research Connections Conference (RCC) which begun in Winter 2017. The RCC is a day designed to illuminate the many possibilites a life in research can offer to science students of many different backgrounds. RCC hosts several speakers who are experts in contrasting fields to offer students a diverse view into the life of research. To learn more about our club and what we do visit our Facebook page @uOttawaSciX or our website www.sci-x.ca. Please direct correspondence to @uottawascix@gmail.com.
