Overview

Viante New Mexico holds elected officials accountable for making New Mexico a better place to live, work, and play. Through our grassroots, nonpartisan, educational platform, we will unite New Mexicans and provide information to our members about how legislators are performing on three key issues: Education, Crime, and Quality of Life. Purpose: Uniting the people of New Mexico to take pride in their state and move New Mexico forward. Mission: Viante New Mexico will hold public officials accountable by working on behalf of its citizens, providing empowerment and promoting awareness through an educational platform. Vision: New Mexico will be ranked in the top 5% of all 50 states in education, low crime, and high quality of life by 2048. Values: Trust. Pride. Transparency. Transformative. Influential. Accountable. How: All members of Viante New Mexico will clearly know which officials enhance and which officials erode common ground. Viante New Mexico will transparently monitor legislation that has an effect on education, crime, and quality of life that will directly impact New Mexico’s rankings on national lists and metrics. The member exclusive, web based, educational platform will analyze and simplify legislator voting records on these three focus areas in order to help people make an informed voting decision. Who Can Join: Only Individuals can join Management Structure: Viante New Mexico is governed by a nonpartisan volunteer board of 10 directors ensures that Viante New Mexico is respectful, ethical, balanced, and consistent. The board is made up of a variety of political affiliations with 5 New Mexicans who are under the age of 40 and 5 New Mexicans who are over the age of 40 to promote a diversity of thoughts and interests. The board will give the shared direction and make decisions to be acted upon by the Executive Director. If an issue is not voted unanimously by the board, it will not be pursued as a common ground principle.
