Overview

Ukrainian Project Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in July of 1993 in Florida, shortly after the country of Ukraine declared its independence. Established by George McKay and Taras Jason Harper, UPF has operated in both the United States and Ukraine, providing shipments of medical supplies and toys for their first orphanage (Nadiya, Hope) - located in Kyiv. George and Taras created something different from other orphanages which were in Ukraine at the time… they provided a full-service system, with physicians, counselors, and in-house certified teachers. In 2003, UPF procured its second facility, located in Borispol, Ukraine. Between the two facilities, they have been able to provide secure housing, medical attention, and counseling for up to 50 children. Additionally, they have been able to provide secure office space for one of the largest worldwide organizations fighting human trafficking. With their high-security facilities, and medical and counseling staff, UPF has provided a unique advantage to those protecting and healing children who are recovered victims of human trafficking. Today, as the world watches the unjustified military invasion of Ukraine, we are grateful that our children have been evacuated to a safe location outside of Ukraine, but they are currently statused as refugees. We do not know if they will be able to return to their familiar homes, or if they will be able to return to Ukraine at all. In addition to providing food, housing, medical attention, and counseling for our children, UPF is now actively involved in assisting other displaced Ukrainian refugees in finding shelter and provisions. Please consider donating whatever you can to help support our efforts. All donations are tax-deductible. Donate Digitally via Venmo or send check to: Ukrainian Project Fund P.O.
