UKES Rail Ltd was proudly formed in June 2010 by the current Managing Director, Neil Bridgeman. Neil has been an electrician since leaving school in 1999. Having spent his apprenticeship and early working career working in the new build environment throughout London he fell upon a job opportunity within the rail industry in 2007. After three years Neil decided to go it alone and UKES Rail Ltd was born. UKES Rail started on the Network Rail Commercial Property contract (which we still are after 6 years) but since then have carried out work with South West Trains, Southern Rail, Thames Link and the Network Rail Sussex, Wessex and Kent routes. We pride ourselves on a can do attitude and if it is not your job, make it your job approach to every day. This we feel sets us apart from the crowd and will give us the edge going forward. UKES Rail gained Link-up approval in 2014. In order to gain Link-up status UKES Rail had to undergo an in depth audit process. Achilles Link-up is a community supporting the UK rail industry’s pre-qualification scheme. Achilles Link-up is recognised as best practise in qualifying suppliers, and is used extensively by buyer organisations to manage risk and comply with legislation. Achilles Link-up is governed by a RISQS (Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) Board compromising of cross-industry representation, and the RISQS Board members contribute to the development of the service.
