Overview

Techno System Developments (TSD) is an Italian private company founded in 1977. TSD is specialized into design, development and manufacturing of on-board and ground electronic equipment for aero-space applications with an experience of more than 226.000 hours of operations in flight and a total of five systems, operating in space at this time. Our equipment is aboard satellites orbiting the Earth, spacecraft and orbiters for deep space missions and aboard the International Space Station. TSD has over three decades of experience in the development of Imaging Systems, including acquisition, real time processing, compression, storage, packetization for transmission, and Avionic Platform for space applications. Our first flight was on 1993. Thanks to our team made up of highly skilled electronic, software engineers and by ESA qualified technicians, TSD is able to manage in house the complete end to end development process, including: - Requirement Assessment - Architectural Design - HW Design, Development & Testing - SW Design, Development & Testing - Breadbording & Simulation - Electronic Manufacturing, Assembling, Integration & Testing - System Testing and Space Qualification. We are specialized in the development of data handling units, characterized by high performances and compactness and dedicated for most of the applications to image acquisition, compression, on board storage, CCSDS encoding, etc. Our strength is the development of customized Camera Systems with different resolutions and characteristics, mainly for navigation, but also for earth observation and all characterized by compactness and capability to implement computationally heavy algorithms, like the ones needed for real-time compression or stereovision and feature extraction and tracking. The very high integration levels are achieved thanks to very peculiar circuits design solutions and to a complex design of the PCB, adopting for it, state of art technologies.
