PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT To survive and prosper as a developer you have to be a jack-of¬all-trades and master of many. The various fields of expertise we have attained over the years are a product of experience; each development has taught us invaluable lessons. What follows is a collection of achievements that time and experience have been generous enough to grant us. EAST AFRICA PROPERTIES We are in partnership with an International Property Management and Development Company, EAP which operates out of Zimbabwe and Mauritius. The offices administer and manage commercial, industrial, residential and leisure properties, a portfolio worth in excess of US$40 million. Our relationship and knowledge through this offshore operation provides an ideal opportunity for investors of the future and further African developments. CONSERVATION We have conceptualised and established eight proclaimed private nature reserves. This impressive collection includes the 11 500 hectare Thornybush Game Reserve and the 26 000 hectare Welgevonden Reserve in the Waterberg, two of our Big Five reserves and more recently the Big Four 15 000 hectare Blue Canyon Game Conservancy. It also includes the truly unique 30 000 hectare Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary which combines both terrestrial and marine habitats in one environment. This model was presented at a conference in Geneva by the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) as a model for sustainable developments. GAME RELOCATION We have over the years become experts in the stocking and relocation of various species, from egrets to elephants and bush-babies to buffalo. One of the most significant was our involvement in the first ever relocation of elephant family groups into Thornybush Game Reserve and two years later, from the Kruger Park to other private reserves. Our latest reintroduction was in 2008 when we relocated elephant, lion, leopard and general game to Hoedspruit’s Blue Canyon Game Conservancy.
