Overview
The Transportation Communications Union/IAM represents approximately 35,000 members in the railroad industry. In 2012, TCU merged with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM). TCU/IAM represents workers on both freight and passenger rail, as well as commuter lines throughout the United States. Our members range from clerks, carmen, auto technicians, computer programmers, skycaps and redcaps, on-board service workers, secretaries, supervisors, government workers, truck drivers, accountants, yardmasters, inter-modal workers, police officers, reservations agents, transit workers and more. TCU/IAM is dedicated to supporting workers' rights and fighting to improve wages, health care benefits and working conditions.
