Overview
The Transactional Law Clinic (TLC) is a clinical program of Harvard Law School. TLC provides free and low-cost legal assistance to small businesses and entrepreneurs, and helps in the following areas: • Business matters, including business formations, investments, sales and purchases, contract review and negotiation, and regulatory compliance; • Nonprofit organization work, including formation, application for tax exempt status, and governance; • Real estate issues, including commercial leasing, purchases and sales, condominium formation and governance, zoning compliance and development of affordable housing; • Community economic development; and • Arts, entertainment and intellectual property matters. The Transactional Law Clinics collaborate with and provide legal assistance to individuals and small businesses and nonprofit organizations, as well as community based-organizations engaged in commercial or economic development activities.
