Townshippers' Association

Overview

Townshippers’ Association was founded in 1979 to provide a voice for English-speakers in the Townships, which could be heard at the local, provincial and federal levels. That work continues today through a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Townshippers’ is active across Quebec’s historical Eastern Townships with offices in Sherbrooke and Lac Brome and an energetic team that works to support the close to 42,000 English-speakers living in communities that are spread across an area that is almost the same size as Belgium. The association's activities vary from year to year as we adapt to community needs and available resources. Aside from providing a strong representative voice for our communities, the Association’s initiatives touch on community support. culture, arts, heritage, access to quality health and social services and supporting our youth.
