Town of Medley

Overview

The Town of Medley, named after its founder, Sylvester Medley, was incorporated in 1949. In the late 1960’s, this primarily industrial town had grown to include about 325 light-to-heavy industries. Today Medley, which now occupies eight square miles in northwest Miami-Dade County, is proud of its over 1100 businesses. Just minutes away from Miami International Airport and Opa-Locka Executive Airport, with access to major expressway connectors, as well as railroads, (especially the FEC Railroad freight line and sidings, serving many Medley businesses along its tracks), and home to the newly constructed Palmetto Metrorail Station which connects to 21 other metrorail stations within the county, The Town of Medley is conveniently located to all forms of transportation which is why it attracts businesses of all types and makes Medley the perfect place for industrial development.
