Women in Construction (WIC) is a group dedicated to bringing together participants and partners to share experiences, lessons learned and opportunities to promote a stronger, more diverse workforce. Women in Construction is a chapter of Toronto Network of Women (TOnow) with the mandate to: (1) Supports the personal and professional growth of members of the Toronto Public Service; (2) Highlights the accomplishments of those, who deliver and/or facilitate the delivery of construction in Toronto; and, (3) Promotes engineering and construction-related professions as career choice. Key objectives include: • Providing guidance to members on knowledge and skills growth • Improving members' access to skills training, career planning, etc. • Encouraging members to pursue leadership positions/opportunities • Provide networking space for women in the construction industry to learn and share experiences • Highlight and promote diversity and inclusion initiatives within the TPS and external organizations Follow us for updates on upcoming events!
