Overview
In 1978, the Varsity Club was formed as a division within the LSU Athletic Department to assist in raising private funds to support the LSU Athletic Program. The Varsity Club was then replaced by Tigers Unlimited, a Louisiana nonprofit corporation, in 1983 and Tigers Unlimited was granted 501(c)3 status in 1984. Tigers Unlimited reorganized and amended its Articles of Incorporation to formally change its name to Tiger Athletic Foundation in 1987. For 30 years, Tiger Athletic Foundation’s members have enhanced the lives of every student-athletes on every team by providing financial resources for programs and facilities that ensure the opportunity to win in the classroom, in competition, and in life. We were there when Warren Morris hit the walk-off homerun to win the 1996 College World Series. We were there in 2016, when LSU Gymnastics finished a historic season by finishing number two in the country. When student-athlete graduation rates increased by 18% in 2016, we were there. We are TAF and we’ll always be here for Tigers. Join us. Learn how you can support LSU student-athletes of today and tomorrow through Scholarships, TAF Philanthropic Programs, Team TAF Annual Fund, and Planned Giving by visiting www.lsutaf.org today. Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF) is a private, nonprofit, corporation dedicated to supporting LSU and its Athletic Program. TAF is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal Revenue Code.
