Overview

The Virtue Center provides trauma-informed outpatient treatment services for substance use disorders, gambling addiction, and related mental health challenges. Our range of outpatient services include, but are not limited to: individual therapy, group therapy, family and couples counseling, case management, peer support, early intervention and prevention, education and crisis intervention. The Virtue Center serves approximately 2,000 individuals and their families each year. In addition, The Virtue Center provides outreach and education. We can connect with your business to develop a wellness education series tailored to your staff needs. The Virtue Center also provides professional training in topics related to substance use disorders for counseling professionals. Founded in 1972 by Father Richard Virtue, we continue his legacy today by providing treatment services for all. We became a United Way of Norman funded partner in 1973 and the first state-funded outpatient treatment center in the state of Oklahoma in 1975. The Virtue Center is certified and funded for outpatient substance abuse, co-occurring mental health disorders and gambling treatment services by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. We offer a sliding fee scale and no one is refused services based on inability to pay. Our vision is that every person facing addiction and mental health challenges will heal and thrive. We incorporate our five core values into every service and interaction: care, community, compassion, courage, and integrity.
