The Global Partnership for Civic Engagement

International Affairs

Overview

The Global Partnership for Civic Engagement (“The Global Partnership”) is a new non-profit organization, founded by @James (Jim) Clark and formally launched in a meeting at the UN Office for Partnerships in late 2019, to: • Create an ongoing platform to help engage the full range of humanity in the decision making and problem-solving necessary to address the 21st Century’s greatest global challenges. • Ensure inclusion of the perspectives and highest common values of the world’s peoples, to help catalyze substantial innovation and impact, and to partner with the world’s leading institutions as together we seek to create a better future for all. WHAT WE ARE DOING NOW • Identifying the best current and proposed innovative initiatives for a different, better world via the Better Century Awards and sharing and supporting them in a wide variety of ways. • Facilitating public awareness of the most innovative and impactful ideas for rethinking civilization via our Rethinking Civilization Video Podcast and the weekly World-Scale Ideas Show on Clubhouse, and, of course, via the Better Century Awards program and related activities. • Helping the best innovations urgently scale up with substantial financial and relationship-building support via our 21st Century Philanthropy Initiative, which includes our One Hour of Income for A Better Century donation campaign, our Catalytic Philanthropy Council for leading-edge philanthropists, and our Save Civilization Committee involving the largest level of support.
