The Sustainable City is a resilient, scalable and replicable working model that is a benchmark and framework for achieving net zero emissions by 2050. The Sustainable City, Dubai was launched in Dubai in 2013, as the first operational sustainable development in the Middle East. Under SEE Holding, The Sustainable City is a working blueprint for sustainable urban communities around the world striving to increase measurable outcomes across three pillars of sustainability: social, environmental, and economic. Each city comprises residential clusters, educational facilities, retail and commercial outlets, sporting, leisure and wellbeing facilities. Social Sustainability: The Sustainable City models a live-work-thrive community with inclusivity, education and safety at its heart, prioritizing people and the planet. Environmental Sustainability: The Sustainable City is designed to reduce or avoid all sources of manmade emissions under six categories: Food, Energy, Water, Products, Mobility & Waste.
