Overview
The Education and Human Resources Council (EHRC) was created in an effort to align education and human resources policies in the UAE and to ensure education outputs are compatible with future trends and labor market demands which will ultimately support our objective as a nation to build an innovation-driven knowledge economy. In order to provide the EHRC with the required support to achieve its mandate, an EHRC Secretariat team was created. The role of the Secretariat revolves around: • Acting as the “think-tank” or the research engine for the council by conducting evidence-based policy analyses and leveraging international best practices to derive insights/ findings that will inform policy making for H.H. the Chair and H.E. the Secretary Shamma Al Mazrui on the topics of education, labor market, and others • Performing thorough reviews of EHRC members’ policy proposals and providing constructive feedback, recommendations and talent/ manpower support when necessary – acting as a sounding board for EHRC members when needed • Creating innovative programs and/ or initiatives in the education and employment space • Introducing data analytics and predictive insights to influence and inform policy formation in the UAE for the education and employment sector
