Overview

Our mission is to provide opportunities to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their highest potential educationally, residentially, socially and vocationally. We work together with families to provide a strong sense of community and support. We provide quality care and are always looking for ways to fill in the service gaps. The Point provides case management, educational, residential, employment, social supports to help individuals reach their goals. The Point Arc also runs four social enterprises, creating productive employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including: - Point Perk Coffee Shop: Point Perk is our newest social enterprise that opened in December 2015 with funds from a Hatton Foundation grant. Point Perk employs 5 individuals and serves as a place for the community to come get their feel good cup of coffee and to see our mission in action. - The Point Apparel: Started as the Logo and Design Company in 2012, we provide quality embroidery, silk-screen and "glitz" products for businesses, schools and non-profits while training and hiring individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. - The Point Commercial Laundry: The Point Commercial Laundry has provided quality laundry service to local hotels, casinos, restaurants, and conventions centers since 1996. We provide jobs for individuals and use revenue from the Laundry to run our other programs. - The Point Commercial Cleaning: The cleaning company began in 1985 and offers full-time employments to individuals who need minimal supervision. They are trained on commercial cleaning. Employees from KOI Auto Parts and The Point offices look forward to seeing the employees on a daily basis as a part of their office routine.
