Overview

The Liffey Trust is a self-sustaining charitable organisation set up in the early 80’s with the sole intention of creating jobs in Ireland. We do this by providing a range of supports and services in terms of business planning, marketing strategies and financial advice. We also frequently assist, indirectly in the growth of businesses by contributing to the purchase of equipment and furnishings necessary for the success of the business. Since the inception of The Liffey Trust, we have assisted upwards of 200 companies and over 1000 jobs. We currently house a range of different enterprises, including: The Hive is a hub for some of the most impressive startups in Dublin. It currently houses 16 exciting young companies, resulting in a dynamic and collaborative community. The Liffey Trust Rehearsal Studios are purpose built studios frequently used as a rehearsal space for major artists and productions including Riverdance, Cliff Richard, Strictly Come Dancing along with various RTE events and corporate organisations running workshops, training days and launches. Our studios also run various educational courses in association with Dublin Institute of Technology and American College Dublin. The Marketplace, which houses kitchens for some of the finest eatery’s around Dublin including Fresh the Good Food Market, The Bakehouse, Sushi King, DropChef and Kokoro. In recent times we have formed a partnership & scholarship agreement with Trinity Business School. The partnership entails 4 scholarships per year of €10,000 each for 10 years to students undertaking the MBA at Trinity Business School. The Liffey Trust is also delighted to have entered a partnership last year, with University College Dublin. Students enrolled at UCD for a four-year course of their choice can obtain the Entrepreneurial scholarship valued at up to €12,000. The Scholarship has the principal purpose of promoting the concepts of job creation, entrepreneurial development, and education for life.
