Overview

The Elms Lawn Tennis club is located in Stanmore and runs tennis programmes for both Juniors and Adults during the week and weekends throughout the year. The Elms LTC is clubmark accredited and also has very close relationships with the Middlesex LTA, Inspire 2 Coach and Batchwood Tennis Centre. Our Junior programmes run right through from our toddler groups, to our red, orange and green mini tennis zones. We follow the LTA Earn Your Stripes pathway, focusing on the core skills of playing tennis as well as focusing on the important FUNdamentals that are incorporated into the game. We also extend out to primary schools to deliver our tennis programmes across the national curriculum. We have a school of excellence which caters for our more advanced Junior players, who follow an intense weekly training programme and compete in regular competitions. Our Adult programme runs throughout the week and includes beginner and intermediate classes, cardio tennis and social tennis, attracting players from all different levels, encouraging the all play tennis scheme and growing participation in tennis. We also enter into the Aegon Team Tennis Championships annually, competing against local clubs from the borough and so far, we have won every age group every year. The club has a very friendly and welcoming nature, attracting all ages and abilities and enjoying the game of tennis throughout.
