Overview

Founded in 1977, The Cooper Group was built on preserving the craftsmanship that has been handed down from generation to generation. We take pride in successfully utilizing these skills within each area of our multifaceted company. Through our 40+ years of dismantling, relocating, reconstructing, and restoring hundreds of 17th, 18th, and 19th century buildings, we found the single most Important element to preserving a structures original integrity is the fenestration. This Is how "Cooper Historical Windows" was established. Cooper Historical Windows is a division of The Cooper Group, specializing in restoring, and replicating historic windows. The success of every project hangs in the balance when deciding which type of windows to use. The window must be a blend of historic accuracy, energy efficiency and low maintenance. We make our cylinder glass to match the period of the building. Our beautiful windows allow you to maintain the original historic fabric of the structure, or to make your new home feel like a historic classic. Cooper Historical Windows has developed a simulated divided light window (SDL) that is the most historically accurate, energy efficient, low maintenance window on the market. We use our own cylinder glass, coupled with a high performance low-e glass to create an insulated glass unit (IGU) that will be designed specifically for your climate needs. This innovative combination makes our windows energy efficient and eliminates the need for an exterior storm window, which allows you to enjoy the classic look of old wavy glass. The grills are milled to look exactly like a traditional putty glazed window without the cost of upkeep and maintenance. All our IG units are built in-house to the highest standard, with a PIB primary seal, a silicone secondary seal and warm edge technology. Cooper Historical Windows with our patent pending technology, is the only window company that offers all these important components.
