Overview

The Centre for Community and Social Development in Southern Africa (CCSD Southern Africa) is a skills development training provider also offering knowledge and advisory services. The Centre was set up to bridge the knowledge and skills gap in the community and social development sector across southern Africa. We work with governments, and the private sector and other non-government actors to improve the outcomes of their investments into the social economy. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the people of Southern Africa through transformative investments in skills and knowledge building among communities, development professionals and the public and non-government sectors in the region. Our vision is of a region where all people achieve their full potential and are able to contribute to the building of a prosperous and well governed society. Towards our mission and vision CCSD Southern Africa offers tailored skills and professional development short courses in community and social development, development policy and practice, and programme/project management. We also offer bespoke sustainable development, public policy and social research and advisory consultancy services to cater for a variety of needs in the public, private and non-government sectors.
