Overview

The British Undergraduate Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (BUSOG) is an ever-expanding society that promotes the exciting and diverse specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology to medical students and pre-specialty doctors. Piloted in 2012, the BUSOG has expanded exponentially under 3 terms of committees. With a new committee elected for a two year term in Spring 2020, we hope to continue to extend the scope of the society and provide networking experiences for our members. We hope to develop stronger relationships with the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RCOG) as well as other national and international societies. The BUSOG hopes to give clear, honest and helpful advice to prospective Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees. We aim to do this by supporting pre-trainees with exam and placement preparation, promote current issues in the specialty and provide career opportunities and CV enhancement. We plan to continue our local and national events whilst adding additional specialist events to our calendar to increase our personal interaction with our members. The BUSOG will always be a society run by members for its members and our work will continue to be inspired by students and specialists to provide the best resource for speciality exposure we can.
