Overview

MY BACKGROUND I began decorating cakes 20 years ago for family and friends as a hobby. I decided to take it a step further and share my passion so I became a Wilton Cake Decorating Instructor in Michael's Arts & Craft Store in North Las Vegas, NV. After several months of teaching, one of my students mentioned an opening for a cake decorator in the bakery of the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino which is where I began my new career creating wedding cakes, occasional cakes, restaurant specific cakes and so much more. Within my time at Mandalay Bay, I joined Hubert Keller's Fleur dy Lys as the Assistant Pastry Chef. I continued my Cake Decorating and Pastry career at the JW Marriott in Summerlin, Las Vegas. In keeping up with the trends, I have expanded my knowledge and creativity to include classics like the Whoopie Pie. CURRENTLY As a home based business here in Florida, I have the opportunity to be more involved with the community through local events in addition to doing my part in practice sustainability efforts through recycling and sourcing from local businesses.
