Issue of plagiarism has been a hand wringing over last decades within academic society. The technology upswings have made the plagiarism act become easier than ever. Therefore the idea to curb the plagiarism without constraint the creativity has been corroborate by developing system to detect plagiarism. TESSY was developed first time in October 2008. The Purpose of TESSY development is to give control in the plagiarism trial among professional, academic, and social circumferences. TESSY® is the acronym of Test of Literature Similarity. It is proprietary software, which has exclusive contract to private and public institutions in term of academic document validity checking. In addition to that, validity means free from plagiarism and reliable as the source of academic knowledge. TESSY® at first use has received many awards such as best programs for E-Learning competition which held by Acer Intel Indonesia. TESSY® also has been implemented in some degree programs in Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. To sum up, TESSY team wish the user to enjoy and implement the system as align as the motivation to create better writing environment among us. In 2016 TESSY secured its first seed-funding from Indigo Startup Nation program by PT Telkom Indonesia.
