Overview
Terra CO2, based in Golden, Colorado, has developed a scalable, low carbon alternative for cement replacement in concrete. Our engineered OPUS SCM and SCM+ are direct replacements for fly ash. For every ton of Portland cement displaced by a Terra product, a 70% reduction in CO2 emissions is achieved. Introducing: OPUS Made with abundant, inexpensive, climate-friendly feedstocks. Today, cement production accounts for 8% of all greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. We replace up to 40% of cement in concrete with climate-friendly, cost-competitive supplementary and alternative cementitious materials. With appropriate mix design the concrete mix can be made cost competitive and with no compromise in performance properties. Our Opus products use abundantly available silicate rocks that can be sourced from existing aggregate mines close to any major market. This creates a huge advantage because it works at scale, using existing infrastructure.
