Proudly announcing that the group of international students with the support of Friedrich Schiller University of Jena are organizing the first independent TEDx university event in eastern part of Germany. TED is the most prestigious global set of conferences in the world today. This is a platform that brings together the world’s leading thinkers, social entrepreneurs and change makers to share ideas that matter. TED has turned into one of the most important free online source for modern education and by modern education we mean all kind of inventions, innovations or discoveries in any field of the science or in any disciplines of the culture. Unlike any other conferences, all speeches given on TED are filmed and uploaded to TED.com that celebrated 1 billion views in 2012. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading” TED has created TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that brings people together to share traditional TED experience. TED is an independently organized local event that brings people together to share a TED-like experience. This is a platform for the famous and non-famous people to spread their astounding ideas to make the world a better place. Since 2009 more than 9000 TEDx events have been organized in more than 150 countries. And even right now, while you are reading this at least 3 TEDx events are ongoing around the world. The main goal of TEDx is carefully prepared talks, demonstrations and performances that are idea-focused on a wide range of subjects, foster learning and inspiration in order to initiate conversations that matter.
