Ted Rhodes was a pioneer in the golf industry and paved the way for blacks to play golf. His golf game was studied by professional golfer and Masters winner, Tiger Woods. He taught championship boxer Joe Louis, tennis player Althea Gibson, and many others how to play golf. There is a golf course in Nashville, TN that bears his name, Ted Rhodes Golf Course. The foundation is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) status, organization that supports programs to help minority youth and future generations of golfers, including our “Rising Stars".
