Official Robotics Team of VIT Chennai. It is a student project team of undergraduates of Vellore Institute of Technology,Chennai, which thrives to explore new technologies and continuously evolve to take up new challenges in building sophisticated,automated Robots and Mars Rover prototypes for events at national and international levels. The team was founded in 2013 and since then it has been creating new benchmarks. We mostly participate in 3 events-:Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union(ABU) ROBOCON, Indian Mars Rover Challenge(IRC) and TECHNOXIAN (World Robotics Championship) Our achievements of the past 2 years at a glance: 1)The ROBOCON division of the team stood 30th in a strong field of 140 participating teams in the first round of ROBOCON 2019. ROBOCON is organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union(ABU),a collection of over 20 countries of the Asia Pacific Region. 2) The rover division of our team,Technocrats Mars Rover, competed at Indian Mars Rover Challege 2019(IRC) held at Manipal Institute of Technology,Karnataka,India. We being the youngest team to participate secured 5th rank internationally ,which is a big feat for a debut team. 3)In January,2020 IRC was held in VIT Chennai itself. We,the host team stood 6th internationally and also bagged the Best Emerging Team award. 4) In September 2019,we participated in the TECHNOXIAN( World Robotics Championship) held in Delhi and stood internationally 7th in Fastest Line Follower event. Our team consists of enthusiastic young minds ,working in the departments of-Mechanical Engineering,Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Management to create Robots and Rovers.
