Overview

We're motivated serve the workforce and fill the skills gap through Technical Education programs in manufacturing, construction, healthcare, energy and transportation across the country. Our multimedia service provides news information and resources for education professionals and government administrators in technical education. We’ve also partnered with manufacturers who have helped provide curriculum and additional resources for these teachers to succeed. The biggest companies in the world are in fields that Technical and STEM education programs cover. Leading companies continue to seek skilled workers. We hope to address this skills gap by educating students with relevant material and hands-on experience. Technical Education focuses on applying those skills learned in the classroom, rather than judging students based on an assessment. 18.4% of freshmen at four-year institutions, and 39% of freshmen at two-year colleges, drop out before finishing their first year (EducationData.org). The education system was created in 1892, and we’re focused on continuing to improve that system for students in the years to come. Education reform through new STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programs is going to help students and teachers continue to educate the 21st Century workforce. Technical Education Post is the independent source of news and information for Technical and STEM educators across the United States. A STEM education is not just teaching math or science; it is a way of teaching. Rather than basing instruction on a test, a STEM class focuses on hands-on learning. Students participate in an activity while learning science, math, and other skills. The mission of Technical Education Post is to encourage, enlighten and inspire educators in the Technical, Technology, S.T.E.M. Education, Industrial, Vocational, and Pre-Engineering Fields.
