Tartu Artist in Residence Program welcomes up to 20 professional or emerging artists from Alaska to Australia in the scenic and historic city of Tartu for a period of up to three months. Established in 2012, TAIR is by now the largest residency program in Estonia and attracts creatives from a wide array of genres. During the time spent in Tartu, artists can immerse themselves in the steady but surprisingly lively life of Tartu, discover new inspiration and contribute to the local artistic community. As a relatively young and small program, we strive to offer many more socializing options to the artsist than would be usual for more established programs in bigger locations.
