Overview

The Master of Science Program in Instructional Design and Educational Technology (IDET) is oriented toward trainers, instructional designers, e-learning specialists, and teachers. Graduates effectively apply current and emerging technologies to solve learning and performance problems in varied training and school settings. This master's program allows students a considerable amount of flexibility to explore areas of personal interest. As an IDET student, you will work with your faculty advisor to develop a program of study emphasizing the aspects of Educational Technology you wish to focus on in your career. This degree can be taken in either of two delivery modes: online or resident-based. The online or resident-based delivery modes allow students to work with the faculty advisors to develop a program of study that emphasizes development of skills and knowledge in a specific aspect of instructional design and educational technology fitting to each student's learning and career goals in K-12, higher ed, or adult learning environments. To complete the program in one year, take two courses during each of the year's six cycles.
