Overview

Like the model of a national sports team, the SNO is comprised of excellent musicians, the majority of which are active as soloists and/or first parts in orchestras both in Switzerland and around the globe. The Orchestra is a non-profit, non-religious and non-political association based in Lucerne. The Orchestra aims to rank among the most competitive music platforms in the world. Already maintaining positions in the most prestigious institutions around the world, Swiss musicians return to play with the SNO to share their music competence and experience.
