Overview

The Swiss Business Council (SBC) Abu Dhabi, established in the year 2000, is a non-profit organization, licensed by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry. It is a socio-cultural-economic forum that promotes the interests of companies and individuals bridging Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates and Switzerland. It has served the community for 20 years by organizing and supporting a wide range of events, creating many valuable opportunities and marking its presence through a diverse program of events with over 2,000 participants and more than 15,000 visitors per year on the Swiss Christmas Market. All events are open to members and invited guests; they are supported by sponsors and managed by the Executive Director. The SBC Abu Dhabi has an active, enthusiastic and constantly expanding membership base. It is open for membership under individual and corporate categories. In addition, it has another independently managed branch in Dubai and members may join both and thus increase their networking benefits in both Emirates. The primary objective is to support commercial and personal relationships among its members, by providing a platform for high profile networking and discussion of business opportunities. The SBC regularly successfully teams up with other Business Councils in Abu Dhabi organizing joint events to further increase the networking opportunities for its members and to benefit from synergies.
