Overview
The main job of the union is to improve the financial and professional situation and working conditions of its members, regardless of the members’ form of work. Union advocacy focuses on collective bargaining agreements, which defend members’ interests at the workplace and on an individual level. The union plays a special role in defending the status of journalism and its ethics. The union promotes freedom of expression. In terms of communications policy, the union’s goal is to safeguard media diversity.
