Overview

Founded in 2003, Sultan Sushi is now managed by Jan Keersmaekers and Steven Allcock. Enjoying long-established relationships with all major Belgian & Dutch broadcasters, Sultan Sushi focuses on the development and production of homemade reality, fiction, lifestyle and children's formats with international potential. The company's portfolio also includes events, and promotional & corporate films. Since March 2010, Sultan Sushi is part of the Red Arrow Entertainment Group, which provides Sultan Sushi with opportunities to strengthen its position in the Belgian market and still preserve its own strong character and ideas. The Sultan Sushi brand is synonymous with three basic values - fresh ideas, smart value and craftsmanship - which has resulted in interesting and successful programs. Sultan Sushi's non-fiction production credits include Fata Morgana (mobilizing reality format/één), Made in Belgium (culinary & travel/één), Antwerp Zoo: Backstage (factual series/één), Stand Up & Work (reality & comedy/Canvas), Birth Day (human interest travel series/één), The Taste (culinary game show/ VTM), Rich & Poor (factual travel series/Canvas) and Home maker (lifestyle & domestic/Vitaya). Sultan Sushi offers a full-fledged and authentic alternative to the current children's television market producing successful and remarkable children's programs for almost all Flemish TV stations: for Ketnet (VRT) we produced The Zoo-Reporters, the adventurous reality game show GO IV, and several seasons of the survival series X-Treme. For VTMKZOOM (Medialaan) we produced the factual reality series Wanna B and Wanna C My Life. The past few years Sultan Sushi invested extensively in its fiction department. We produced The 5th Bow (adventure children's drama series for Ketnet (VRT), Red Sonja, a tragicomic series for Canvas (VRT), On Tour for Disney Channels Benelux, two seasons of Danni Lowinski (dramedy) for VTM (Medialaan), and recently Marsman (tragicomic series) for één (VRT).
