The Sustainability and Livelihood Research Organization (Suliver) is an interdisciplinary Action Research Network that focuses on improving the sustainability and improved livelihood of communities in the Global North and South. Suliver brings together researchers, institutions and development experts that are committed to sharing information and working together to accomplish sustainability and livelihood outcomes. At Suliver we believe that the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined by the United Nations and wildly supported governments, businesses and the civil society will take more than policy pronouncements. Suliver is commited to the accomplishment of these goals, through a wide range of collaborative partnerships from all actors across disciplines. This network is built on the understanding that scientific answers to ecological challenges of our time are not enough. For science to translate to improved livelihood and sustainable development practical, such findings must inform policies in more practical manner. In these groups, stimulating programs and policy agendas are created to drive empirical research in the ecosystem of science policy interface. The networking is constantly working together through joint publications, conference and workshops. As a network, SULIVER seeks to transform societal behaviors on sustainability issues based on scientific findings. The network establishes an open space for critical inquiry within social and natural science disciplines.
