Student Council KU Leuven is the decretal student council for the entire university. It represents every KU Leuven student; both Flemish and international students, regardless of which campus they study at. Through its General Assemblies, in which the faculty student representatives are consulted, the various mandataries of the Student Council defend the students' interests on subjects relevant to all KU Leuven students. Among other things, a Stura mandatary collaborates on the Education and Examination Regulations, reflects on the study choice process and the guidance of first-year students, and, together with other policy officers, pursues the policy for quality education. In addition to education policy, Student Council KU Leuven considers international policy, diversity policy and sustainability policy, among other things. It does so in cooperation with the various campus councils that contribute to social and cultural policy at local and regional level - i.e., in Brussels, Leuven, Bruges, Antwerp or elsewhere. Stura mandataries are official members within the bodies of the university administration itself: they have a seat within, among others, the Board of Governors, Academic Council and Executive Board of KU Leuven.
