Overview

The Childhood Cancer Research Foundation Switzerland is dedicated to researching cancer in children and young people. New treatments and suitable medicines are improving the chances of a cure, while publications bear testimony to the success of the doctors and scientists that the foundation supports and their research projects. Since childhood cancer is not a focal point of medical research, the foundation funds the research projects it chooses to support with the aid of donations and bequests. Services and activities The foundation provides resources for clinical and basic research that aims to improve diagnosis, treatment, long-term prognoses and quality of survival. Researchers in Swiss hospitals can submit projects that are compatible with the aims of the foundation for consideration. The foundation council consults its committee of experts and third parties when deciding whether to finance projects. Researchers commit to providing interim reports and a final report, and to providing a list of published studies or other publications.
